Ali Chappell is a Toronto-based actor, award winning director, and writer whose work spans cult horror, dark fantasy, and experimental storytelling.
After training in classical performance, she broke out with iconic roles in Full Moon's Necropolis: Legion and Space Vampire. She has starred in countless movies, short films, TV episodes and more. She has since taken the reins behind the camera, writing and directing her short Verified, which earned the Wicked Shorts Jury Award at Salem Horror Fest and the Jury Prize for Best Directorial Debut at the Houston Horror Film Festival.
Her follow up short film Malediction showcased her abilities to take on acting, writing, directing and producing on an ultra low budget production. Her latest short, Peaches, continues her exploration of bold, female-led horror, while her anthology segment Mother of All Frogs, the opening piece in God of Frogs, earned Best International Film at the Chicago Horror Film Festival. Has well, she has set her sights on directing guerilla style music videos and is working on her skills as an editor to become a multi-hyphenate one woman production house.
Known for her physical presence, satirical bite, and love of all things blood-splattered, Ali continues to develop genre projects for both screen and stage-fusing camp, chaos, and craft.
